> Aesthetic Peptide Research Review: references — Aesthetic Peptide Research Review reading list: skin penetration, GHK and hair, Melanotan II trials and clinical reports, and GLOW ingredient reviews.

The full reading list includes human trials, isolated-tissue experiments, animal and cell work, clinical reports and reviews.

## Skin penetration and GHK

The [isolated-skin copper study](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3016279/) supplies the starting point for this site. The [topical GHK review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11830136/) develops the delivery problem. The [human hair-count trial](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4969472/) tested GHK with another ingredient, while the [gene-expression review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6073405/) ranges much further into laboratory findings. The [skin-regeneration review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4508379/) and [tissue-remodelling review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18644225/) provide the broader GHK background.

## Melanotan II

The [pilot pigmentation study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8637402/) and [erectile-function crossover study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9679884/) are early human investigations. The [food-motivation experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36155088/) used direct brain delivery in male mice. The clinical reports concern [oral pigmentation](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41752902/) and [renal infarction](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31953620/). The [historical review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16412534/) follows the compound family, and the [social-media analysis](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38808957/) examines public presentation.

## GLOW ingredients

The [review of approved and unapproved peptide therapies](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41966639/) discusses the constituents within a wider safety problem. The [BPC-157 review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40789979/) assesses the limited human work; the [blood-vessel study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27847966/) concerns cell and animal models. Together, these papers make a case for investigating a combination carefully. They contain no controlled human result for GLOW itself.
